DR Congo visa for Bangladeshis

SECURITY WARNING: the UK government (FCDO) advises against all travel to large parts of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, including North Kivu, South Kivu, Ituri, Haut-Uele, Maniema, Tanganyika, Haut-Lomami, areas near the Central African Republic border and the Kwamouth territory, and against all but essential travel to other areas. An Ebola outbreak was also reported in 2026, with health screening at entry. UK government advice says visitors need a visa, passport valid at least 6 months after arrival, and proof of yellow fever vaccination. We could not open an official DRC government visa page, so fees, processing time, the e-visa portal and Bangladesh procedure are marked for confirmation. Last checked 6 November 2026.

  • The UK government advises against all travel to Haut-Uele, Ituri, North Kivu, South Kivu, Maniema, Tanganyika and Haut-Lomami, to areas within 50 km of the Central African Republic border, and to the Kwamouth territory. It advises against all but essential travel to parts of Kinshasa, Upemba National Park and Kisangani airport. Travel Counsellor Ltd. does not recommend travel against official advice.
  • UK advice also notes health screening, including passenger locator forms and temperature checks, linked to an Ebola outbreak declared in May 2026. Check TravelHealthPro and WHO updates before booking.

How to apply

Official source checked
  • UK advice says visitors need a visa and may apply through the DRC embassy, with at least 2 to 3 weeks allowed. A letter of invitation stamped by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kinshasa may speed things up. Some third-party sites describe an e-visa portal, but we could not verify the address on an official page. Contact our office or a DRC mission before paying any website or agent.
