Algeria visa for Bangladeshis

SECURITY NOTE: the UK government (FCDO) advises against all travel within 30km of Algeria's borders with Libya, Mauritania, Mali and Niger, and in parts of the Tunisia border area (Illizi and Ouargla provinces and the Chaambi mountains); it advises against all but essential travel within 30km of the rest of the Tunisia border. Most other areas are not covered by this warning. UK government entry advice says a visa is needed and is applied for at an Algerian consulate before travel; it does not mention an e-visa. We could not open an official Algerian page that states the Bangladesh-specific rule, fee, processing time or document list, so those items are marked for confirmation. Algeria has an embassy in Dhaka, but its contact details come from directory listings, not an official page. Last checked 6 November 2026.

Security warning

Official source checked

How to apply

Official source checked
  • UK advice says the visa is applied for at an Algerian consulate before travel. For Bangladeshi applicants, contact the Embassy of Algeria in Dhaka (directory address: House 6, Road 13, Baridhara Diplomatic Zone, Dhaka 1212, not verified on an official page) or the Algerian embassy in New Delhi, which has an official website with an entry-visa section. Confirm which mission handles your application and book any appointment before paying anyone.
  • UK advice also notes that some airports may issue a tourist visa on arrival for travel mostly in the south, but only with a confirmed booking from an approved local travel agency. We have not confirmed that this applies to Bangladeshi passports; do not rely on it.

Processing time

Confirm with our office
  • We could not find an official processing time. Ask the embassy and allow generous time before your travel date.
