Myanmar visa for Bangladeshis

Myanmar is under serious travel advisories from several governments, so Bangladeshi travellers should think carefully before planning any trip. Third-party sources say Bangladeshis need an e-visa, but we could not open the official Myanmar e-visa site on 30 October 2026, so visa facts are marked 'Confirm with our office'. The final decision rests with the Myanmar authorities.

Safety and travel advisory

Official source checked
  • The UK FCDO page (updated 4 August 2026, still current on 30 October 2026) advises against all travel to Chin, Kachin, Kayah, Kayin, Mon, Rakhine, Sagaing and Magway and North Mandalay, and against all but essential travel to other areas including Shan State South and East, Mandalay Region and the rest of Bago.
  • It warns that security can worsen at short notice, that travel insurance may be invalid if you travel against advice, and that the authorities can introduce travel restrictions at any time. Other governments (for example Germany and the US, according to news aggregators) also advise against travel. Please read your own government's guidance.
