Mexico visa for Bangladeshis

Bangladesh's foreign ministry announced on 1 December 2024 that Bangladeshi nationals, who previously had to apply at the Mexican Embassy in New Delhi, can now apply at any Mexican embassy or consulate in the Asia-Pacific region or elsewhere. The same report (UNB) says Mexican rules allow visitors of all nationalities holding a valid passport and a valid visa for Canada, the United States, Japan, the United Kingdom or a Schengen country to stay up to 180 days without a Mexican visa. We could not open the Mexican embassy pages (they were blocked to our checker), so fees, processing time and the document list are marked for confirmation. Last checked 1 November 2026.

How to apply

Official source checked
  • Check first whether you hold a valid visa for the USA, Canada, Japan, the UK or a Schengen country. If you do, the Bangladesh foreign ministry report says no Mexican visa is needed, with passport and visa valid at entry. Carry the original visa and check your airline accepts it.
  • If you do not hold such a visa, apply for a Mexican visitor visa at a Mexican embassy or consulate. Since December 2024 this is no longer limited to New Delhi. Book an appointment through the mission you choose and follow its checklist.

Things to watch

  • The visa-free route depends on holding a valid USA, Canada, Japan, UK or Schengen visa. A visa does not guarantee entry.
  • Do not use dummy tickets, fake bookings or forged documents. This can lead to refusal and a record.
  • Travel Counsellor Ltd. is a private consultancy, not an embassy. Decisions rest with Mexican authorities. No approval is guaranteed and fees can change.
