Under the Guatemalan system, countries are sorted into categories. For a 'consulted visa' country, the request is sent to IGM's Subdirección de Extranjería for authorisation, and only then does a Guatemalan consulate issue the visa. Third-party guides say a Guatemalan sponsor registered with IGM is needed. We have not confirmed this on an official page.
Bangladesh is not known to have a Guatemalan mission in Dhaka. Do not send money or documents to anyone claiming to guarantee a Guatemalan visa; ask our office or IGM first.
