French Polynesia visa for Bangladeshis

French Polynesia is a French overseas collectivity and is not part of the Schengen area, so it has its own entry rules. The official Government of French Polynesia page says foreign nationals who are not EU nationals must show a valid visa at the border if their nationality requires one, with a short-stay visa for up to 90 days. We could not open an official page that names Bangladesh, so the visa category for Bangladeshi passport holders, the fee and the processing time are marked for confirmation. Last checked 3 November 2026.

How it works

Official source checked
  • French Polynesia (Tahiti, Bora Bora, Moorea and others) belongs to France but is not in the Schengen area. The Government of French Polynesia says foreign nationals who are not EU nationals must be able to show a valid visa at the border if their nationality requires one.
  • For a visit of 90 days or less the visa is a short-stay visa. For longer stays, work or residence a long-stay visa is needed. Visa applications for Bangladeshi residents go through the French diplomatic network, normally via the France-Visas system and the French Embassy in Dhaka.
  • Because we could not open an official page that lists Bangladesh for French Polynesia, ask the embassy in writing which visa applies and whether your destination is French Polynesia before you pay for tickets.

Total cost

Confirm with our office
  • Visa government fee: confirm the current amount on France-Visas or with the French Embassy, as we could not verify a French Polynesia fee. Airfare, insurance, accommodation and any visa-centre service charge are extra. Travel Counsellor Ltd. service charges, if any, are quoted separately in BDT by our office. Checked 3 November 2026.

Transit and connecting visas

Official source checked
  • Flights from Dhaka usually connect through Asia, the Middle East, the US, Australia, New Zealand or Paris, and these countries may need their own transit or entry visas. Check each country's rules separately.
